Nyati Sacco was registered in 1977 under the Cooperatives Societies Act by the then employees of Securicor Security Services (K) Limited currently known as G4S Security Services. Sacco has currently expanded its membership beyond G4S to draw customers from Nyati Sacco Staff, G4S Secure Data Solutions Limited, Tandu Alarms, and Turtle Bay Resort among others. Membership is also drawn from the diaspora, spouses of members, registered groups, and corporates on a non-check-off arrangement. It currently has a Sacco membership of 27,367.
