It was the first Sacco to be established in the Meru Diocese by the late Fr Salesius Kirianthia in the late 1970’s. It was later registered in 2003. The idea of a Sacco came about because of the need to have efficient and fast services. The Sacco now has over 30,000 members.

Here is how to use the pay bill number to access services conveniently;
- Go to M-PESA menu in your SIM tool kit or Safaricom app
- Select lipa na m-pesa
- Select pay bill
- Enter Centenary Sacco paybill number 700300 as the business number
- Enter your ID number or member number as the account number
- Enter amount you wish to deposit
- Put in your pin. Verify the details then send
- You will receive a confirmation message from Safaricom on the success of your transaction and from the Sacco.
