Elimu Sacco was registered in 1972 by employees from the ministry of education. The Sacco affairs are directed by a board of directors and overseen by the supervisory committee. Sacco membership is drawn from different fields including but not limited to;

How To Become A Member of Elimu Sacco
For one to join the Sacco, you need to do the following;
- Download and fill the online application form
- Visit any Elimu Sacco branch with a copy of national ID, two colored passports photos and the form described in (1) above
- Pay a one- off membership fee of 400 shillings
- Make monthly deposits of a minimum of 1750 shillings.

- Select pay bill
- Enter Elimu Sacco paybill number 969800 as the business number
- Enter your ID number or member number as the account number
- Enter the amount you wish to deposit
- Put in your pin. Verify the details then send
- You will receive a confirmation message from Safaricom on the success of your transaction and the Sacco.
