An M-Pesa statement is a document that details all transactions made on your M-Pesa account during a specific time period. This includes M-pesa withdrawal charges as well as any other transactions made on your M-pesa.
The statement can be physical or digital, and it can cover any time period between 24 hours and a year. A mini statement only shows the last five transactions, whereas a full statement shows all of your M-Pesa activity for the specified time period.

1. Receive M-Pesa Statement Through Email
This is most likely one of the best ways to obtain all of your M-Pesa statements. All you need is an email address and a valid M-Pesa account in your name. With this method, you will receive your M-Pesa statements in your email on the fifth of each month.
Follow these steps to receive M-Pesa statements via email:
- Dial *234# from your Safaricom line
- Select option 5, M-Pesa information and press the ok.
- Next select 1 for M-Pesa statement
- Next select Request Statement
- Select 1 for full statement and 2 for ministatement.
- Next Select the timeline for which you need the statement
- Enter the email address where you want to receive the statement.
- Confirm that all the details are correct, then press Ok to proceed.
The stament will be sent to you through the email address entered
How To Access The M-Pesa Statement
The statement sent by email is a secured document and you will need a password to open it. You will enter the details that you used to register your safaricom line with. These may include:
- National ID
- Passport
- Military ID
- Diplomatic ID
- Alien ID
2. How To Get M-Pesa Statement Through Self-service Portal
Safaricom’s self-care portal is a website where you can view your M-Pesa statements. It’s a simple process that doesn’t require any technical knowledge.
You can tailor the period for which you require the statement using the selfcare method. This means you can get statements at any time, as opposed to the email method, which only allows you to get monthly statements.
Follow these steps to obtain your M-Pesa statement from the selfcare portal:
- Go to the Safaricom self-service website.
- By clicking the register button, you can create an account.
- Acceptance of the terms and conditions
- When you confirm your phone number, they will send an SMS to the number you provided.
- Log in to your M-Pesa statement using the credentials you entered during registration.
- To obtain your statement, follow the on-screen instructions.
3. How To Use M-Ledger App To Get M-Pesa Statement
You can also use the M-Ledger M-Pesa app, which scans your existing M-Pesa text messages and creates a database from them. The app is able to process much greater data. From the app you do the following:
- Display your current balance
- You can import up to 6 months of M-Pesa transactions.
- Access your most recent transactions.
- Calculate transaction costs using the built-in calculator.
- View your transactions by person or company.
- Access data on your transaction types, such as paybill, airtime, deposits, and so on.
- Provides a summary of your data in the form of charts and graphs.
When compared to the statements, which simply report the data as is, the M-ledger app method is more convenient, user-friendly, and effective in analyzing your transactions into friendly readable representations.
