Kenya Bankers Sacco

Kenya Bankers Sacco was formed in February 1975 as a Savings and Credit Cooperative Society. The society was formed mainly to provide affordable financial services to its members and customers for wealth creation through deposit mobilization and prudent management. Originally membership was drawn from the banking sector but the Sacco has since opened up membership to others.

Like all other Saccos, the aim is to mobile savings from its members and give out loans at affordable rates with no security other than the membership guarantorship.

Kenya Bankers Sacco Minimum Savings

The following minimum savings weill apply to members of the sacco;

  1. Mandatory Schemes
    Main Scheme – Ksh.3,000 per month
    Risk Fund – Ksh.400
  2. Voluntary Schemes
    Education Savings – Ksh.1,000 per month
    Micro Savings – Ksh.500 per month

Kenya Bankers Sacco Paybill Number 400444

Kenya bankers sacco members have access to paybill number and can make savings or Loan repayments directly from their mobile phones with Lipa na M-pesa services. Follow the following steps;

  1. Go to your Mpesa Menu
  2. Select ”Lipa na Mpesa”
  3. Select Paybill
  4. Enter 400444 as the Business number
  5. Enter your Account number – Ensure you get the correct codes from the Sacco before making a deposit. This will ensure the money goes to the intended account.
  6. Enter the amount you would like to repay.
  7. Enter your Pin number and press OK.

Kenya Bankers Sacco Mobile Banking Services

Kenya bankers Sacco members may access various services from the Sacco through the use of unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) code *293#

Services obtained through Kenya bankers Sacco m-banking platform include:

  •         Savings & Loan balances.
  •         Fosa to Mpesa funds transfer.
  •         Access e-statement.
  •         Loan processing status updates e.g. application, guarantor notifications, approval & disbursements.
  •        Past Due alerts for loans not being serviced in time.
  •        Safaricom airtime purchase from your Fosa account.
  •         General Sacco updates e.g. AGM dates, new products
  •         Dividend advance.
  •         Receipt and payment of the M-Loan facility
  •         Obtain a new pin
