M-Pesa Transaction Charges

M-Pesa is the revolutionary cashless system that enables sending and receiving of money. M-pesa has changed the way Kenyans do business. When you send money, you will be charged a fee.

M-Pesa charges depend on the amount you send or withdraw. To buy airtime with M-Pesa, you just need to select it from your menu and then follow the instructions. The airtime purchased will go straight to your phone, it’s free and you only pay for the amount of airtime selected.

The amount of cash you can hold in your M-Pesa account has been increased to KSHs.300,000. In a day within 24hrs, you can transact up to KSHs.300,000 while one transaction amount has been increased to KSHs.150,000.

It’s also good to note that you cannot deposit money to another M-Pesa line direct from the agent. You have to deposit to your line first, then do the transfer to the other M-Pesa user.

However, withdrawals cannot be less than KSHs.50 at any M-PESA agent outlet. M-Pesa transactions are included in the Safaricom loyalty program called Bonga Points.

How Much Does It Cost To Use M-Pesa?
