Mwito Sacco was registered in the year 1979 under the Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490 laws of Kenya as a limited liability society to mobilize savings thus creating a pool of funds from which affordable credit facilities could be issued to the members. Membership is drawn from employees of Kenya Wildlife and Tourism, the Kenya Marine, Fisheries Research Institute, Private companies and individuals.
How To Become A Member
- Download the online application form from the Sacco website and fill it well
- Scan and send the application form as well as a copy of your ID to [email protected]
- Pay the membership fee through M-PESA pay bill 339 650; the account number is your ID number
- You will receive a call from the Sacco offices

The Sacco has allowed its members to access some of its services from the comfort of their homes through an app known as M-MWITO. Some of the services are
- Cash withdrawal and deposit
- Loan enquiries and repayments
- Purchase of airtime
- Funds transfer
- Utility payments
- Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) services
The app can be accessed by filling a form found on their website after which the applicant will receive a PIN which he/she will be required to change.

Here is how to use the pay bill to access services conveniently;
- Go to M-PESA menu
- Select lipa na M-PESA; paybill option
- Enter Mwito Sacco Paybill number 339650
- For payment into deposit enter your member number followed by the letter ‘D’
- For development loan repayment enter your member number followed by the letters ‘DL’
- For payment into FOSA, enter your member number followed by the letters ‘FS’
- Enter the amount you wish to transact
- Enter your PIN number
- Confirm details and press OK
- You will receive a confirmation message from Safaricom
