Nyambene Arimi is a registered marketing society under the ministry of industrialization and enterprise development. The Sacco’s areas of operation include Igemebe South, Igembe North, Igembe Central, and Tigania in Meru County. Nyambene Arimi Sacco currently has over 10 000 dairy farmers both active and inactive.

In 2012 Sacco decided to open a subsidiary after realizing that farmers were doing well in the streamlined tea sector and poorly in milk. It ensured the registration of the dairy cooperative society to cater to the needs of the dairy farmers. The farmers deliver their milk to the dairy cooperative of which the payment is made through the Sacco where they can access credit facilities to cater to their needs. It currently serves over 10 000 members.
