The Safaricom PostPay services enables you to make calls without worrying that the credit will go off during the conversation. The customer is supposed to make a deposit on registration. The amount of deposit is determined by safaricom considering previous call patterns. At the end of the month, you will be sent a bill which you are supposed to pay by 5th of the following month.
How To Pay Safaricom PostPay Bill Through M-pesa
Once you receive your PostPay bill, you can pay through M-pesa paybill number 200 200. Follow these steps;
- Open the Mpesa Menu on your device.
- Choose Lipa Na Mpesa
- Chose Paybill
- Enter business number 200 200
- Enter your phone number as your account number
- Enter the bill amount you want to pay
- Enter your M-pesa pin and send.
- A confirmation message will be sent to you confirming the payment of the bill.
Remember Safaricom Paybill charges will apply to this transaction.
How To Register For Safaricom PostPay Services
Anyone can registered to be on the PostPay services. Here are the steps to follow to register.
Step 1: Dial *544# or *100#.
Step 2: Select “Join PostPay”.
Step 3: You will be informed of your monthly limits and you can opt to join PostPay with limits allocated or enter your preferred limits.
Step 4: If you input monthly limits greater than what you have been allocated, you will be required to top up the difference as deposit.
Step 5: If no limits has been allocated, you will be required to input your preferred limits. The deposit payable will be equivalent to the limit that you have input.
Step 6: Enter your e-mail address, accept to post-pay terms and conditions and join PostPay.
Safaricom will migrate you to PostPay. You can access customer care through *200#.
Your monthly bill will be sent through SMS and email and payment will be required by the 5th day of every month.
A notification will be sent to you on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th of the month.
Once you pay, you will receive a notification confirming successful payment.
On 7th day after due date, subscribers who have not paid their bills will receive a notice to disconnect.
If you pay through M-Pesa after disconnection, you will be reconnected within 20 minutes.

The PostPay monthly limit will not be used for roaming. To enjoy roaming services, you will be required to activate roaming from the *200# menu and in case of additional deposit, the same will be paid at our Safaricom retail shops.
You will accumulate Bonga Points on use of the Safaricom PostPay service as per the published terms and conditions of the Safaricom Loyalty Programme found on here
Safaricom reserves the right to amend or vary these Terms and Conditions including the privacy terms or to withdraw this Service at any time. In any of these events, notice will be given via media advertisements and will be effective immediately or as at the date referred to in such notifications. Any update to the privacy terms will be available on the Safaricom website www.safaricom.co.ke and will take effect from the date of notification of the update.
