How to buy Safaricom airtime with Fuliza

To buy safaricom airtime, you will not use the normal method that you use to buy airtime from M-pesa but you will use the paybill option. Applicable M-pesa paybill charges will apply on the transaction.

  1. Go to the M-Pesa menu
  2. Select the Pay Bill option
  3. Dial-in the business number which is 737 373
  4. Enter your number as the account number
  5. Choose the amount of Safaricom Airtime you wish to buy
  6. Enter your PIN and click send
  7. You will be prompted to check the details of the transaction for 25 seconds
  8. Choose option 1 to Fuliza to pay for the transactions

You will receive a confirmation message of the Fuliza transaction details from Mpesa and another message confirming the credit top-up from Safaricom.

How to buy Airtel airtime with Fuliza

Airtel customers have not been left out and can still buy airtime using M-pesa with Fuliza. The trend has been most Kenyans have more than one telephone line with Airtel offering cheaper call rates than Safaricom. Airtel also has cheaper data rates than safaricom and you will find many people buying airtime for their Airtel lines for use.

The only downside with Airtel is that their network coverage is not as wide as that of Safaricom and therefore you will experience disruptions as you try to make calls and connect to the internet from some regions. Here are the steps to take to top-up Airtel line when you have Fuliza. Paybill charges will apply where necessary.

  1. Go to the M-Pesa menu
  2. Select the Pay Bill option
  3. Enter Pay Pal business number 220 220
  4. Enter your phone number as the account number
  5. Choose the amount of Airtel Airtime you wish to buy
  6. Enter your PIN and click send
  7. A pop-up message will appear indicating that you have insufficient funds and asking if you want to access Fuliza to finish the transaction.
  8. Choose option 1 to Fuliza to pay for the transactions

You will receive a confirmation message of the Fuliza transaction details from Mpesa and another message confirming the credit top-up from Airtel.

Fuliza loan facility is a blessing especially when your limit is high and will come in handy when you are in a fix. However, many Kenyans do not know they can buy credit with Fuliza and continue making that important call.

Apart from Tupay Technology and Pesa Pal, you can buy airtime from other dealers who sell airtime through paybill, although such airtime purchases may be more expensive.
