ABSA has not been left behind by mobile money technology and they have ABSA paybill number which is 303030. You can use the paybill number to make deposits directly to an ABSA bank account straight from your mobile phone.

How To Deposit Money To ABSA Bank Account From M-pesa

To make a deposit to any ABSA bank account from M-pesa paybill number 303030, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Mpesa menu on your sim tool kit or you can open the Safaricom or Mpesa App.
  2. Select the Lipa na Mpesa option.
  3. Select Paybill.
  4. Enter ABSA paybill number 303030 as the business number.
  5. Enter the ABSA account number that you want to deposit money to.
  6. Enter the amount that you want to deposit into your account.
  7. Enter your Mpesa pin number and press okay.
  8. Confirm the details before sending.
  9. You will receive confirmation messages from ABSA bank as well as Mpesa that your transaction was successful.

The M-pesa transaction charges and funds transfer limits will apply. You can only transfer a maximum of Ksh300,000 in a day from M-pesa with each transaction capped at Ksh150,000.

How To Withdraw Money From ABSA Bank To M-pesa

When you are connected, you can as well withdraw money from your ABSA account to M-pesa by the use of the banks USSD code *224#. Follow the steps outlined below;

  1. From your phone dial, *224# and enter your password (4 digits)
  2. Select M-pesa/Airtel money option
  3. Select the mobile network provider i.e Safaricom or Airtel
  4. Select your own or another number that you want to send money to.
  5. Enter the amount you wish to send
  6. Select the bank account to be debited with the amount
  7. Confirm the transaction
  8. You will receive a confirmation message once the transaction is complete.

You can also withdraw money from ABSA bank account to M-pesa through the ABSA bank app.
